Hasnat Abdullah, convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, criticized former MP Hasan Mahmud for releasing a video from an undisclosed location, comparing it to tactics used by terrorist organizations. Mahmud's message suggested collaboration with the BNP for democracy restoration, warning that the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement could be targeted if the current government or its allies infiltrate the state again.
Hasnat also questioned political parties protesting over the last 16 years, asking why Sheikh Hasina's allies now wish to collaborate with them. He highlighted the movement’s opposition to the government, including risking lives to force Hasina to flee, resisting negotiations, and ending torture cells in universities. He also addressed generational tensions, asserting that youth activism, not veteran political figures, has upheld Bangladesh's honor, and called for unity to shape the country's future.
